Back to School Blog Hop

 Back To School Blog Hop

Hello & Happy Day, My Friends! Thanks for joining us for this Back to School Blog Hop! If you've hopped along from Colleen then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Audrey from Scrappy Emt (I wouldn't want you to miss a THING!!) Can you believe it's almost that time again? This will be our first experience with "School" this year. We have two toddlers & this is Lizzy's first year of preschool! She's so excited! She turns 4 this month and then starts preschool!

This is Audrey's first time hosting a blog hop, so I was happy to participate!!

Here is my Creation:

(Please note: Normally I do NOT know the names of all the papers or the other materials I use b/c they are either something I had from years ago, or it's something that has been donated to me.
Craft Green to Save Green my friends! Use what you already have!)

When I craft, I tend to do things very simply, especially if I share them online. I like EVERYONE to feel like they can do this! Lots of people are just starting out using their Cricut just like me and I want them to know that not everyone is an expert!!!

The Cricut Cartridge I used was Playtime
* I cut the cute kids out at 3" and the word Explore out at 1.5"

The Apple on Books Digi Stamp I used is from Jens Digi Stamps

Not so sure how my one photo spot is not straight. Must of been b/c I was up super late one night! So Please Forgive that error!! I'm not a perfect Crafter! I craft to have fun!! Remember Friends, Crafting is supposed to be Fun!!

Thanks for Stopping by!! Your next stop along the hop is Candace

My Cricut Craft Room's Christmas in July Blog Hop & Festive Friday

Hello & Happy Friday Afternoon My Friends! Thanks for joining us for this Christmas in July Blog Hop! If you've hopped along from Erica then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Erica from My Cricut Craftroom (I wouldn't want you to miss a THING!!)

Today I have two posts in one--LUCKY YOU!! Since it's Friday and we Always have Festive Friday, I will add my creation in as well! So it'll be a  Festive Christmas Friday Blog Hop!

For the Christmas in July Blog Hop, I decided to do something new (for me), something other then just a card or layout. I had lots of fun doing this and I'm going to try another one here this weekend for a Birthday Present!

 Here's What I Did:

* I took a clipboard I found laying around the house; covered it with a layer of Mod Podge and applied the snow flake paper. Then I brushed on another layer of Mod Podge on top. (I used a Sponge brush to brush it on). Make sure you Gently Smooth it down with your hands to avoid Bubbling. (Card Stock will really bubble so don't use it as your base paper!)

* Next, I tore some already embossed white paper (I had from the past) and Put a Layer of Mod Podge on it.

* I used the Christmas Cheer Cricut Cartridge to cut out my cutie Snow Man! He's Cut out at 4". Once I had him cut out, I dabbed a little Mod Podge on his back side, stuck him down, and then completely covered him in Mod Podge.

* The Final thing I did was find some ribbon & fibers I had from years ago. I cut them at 7" and then took three at a time and knotted them on the top of the clip. After I had all of the ribbon & fibers on, I trimmed them down to a better length.

FESTIVE FRIDAY:
Instead of doing another Christmas Project, I opted for a Halloween Layout instead!
The 3 Cartridges I used are Home Decor, Indie Art & Rock Princess.
I cut the Chandelier at 3.5"
I cute the two smaller spiders at 1.5" & the larger one at 2.5"
The Girl is cut at 4.5"
Last, but not least the Little Devil is cut at 1.75"

I found this Candle Paper at the Flea Market last weekend on clearance. I used Metal Mesh from Making Memories (Something I had from years ago that I wanted to use)
The Green Paper were scraps & the Purple Colored Paper on Chandelier & words is Core' Dinations ColorCore Cardstock.

My toddlers loved this layout with the spiders!

I really hope you have enjoyed my projects today! Now it's Time to Hippity Hop on over to the Lovely Laurie

If you Happen to Get Lost--Here is a List to help you  get back on your way!

Happy Tuesday Blogging Friends!!
It's Once Again Time For Card Creating Tuesday with Erica at: My Cricut Craft Room

Hopefully you came from Erica's, but if you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via emial~
WELCOME!
Make sure you go on over and check out her & other DT member's Creations--You Won't Want to Miss It;  Click Here.

So, Today I Created a Simple Flower Card Using the Cartridge Mother's Day Bouquet! Many of you know, I'm all about simplicity, especially when I have crazy toddlers running around.

(Close up of the Flower before on card, and not such a good picture, but you get the point :) )

(Please note: Normally I do NOT know the names of all the papers or the other materials I use b/c they are either something I had from years ago, or it's something that has been donated to me.
Craft Green to Save Green my friends! Use what you already have!)

I cut the flower layers & the leaves out at 3", except for the bottom layer which I cut out at 4".  It took approximately 25 minutes total to cut out, assemble & glue together my card, plus stamp the words Thank you. All the paper I used for this project were scraps. The ink I used to stamp "thank you" is an ink I had from years ago. The color is Satin Rose which is Encore! Ultimate Metallic. The Stamp Set I used was something I got on a huge clearance at Big Lots awhile back. (I love to check out what Big Lots Has from time to time, but will only buy super duper clearance, if I buy at all).

That's all for now! Hope you enjoyed my little flower card, please make sure you stop back again this week to see other creations I will have posted!!

Hello Friend Linky Party

I came across this new site (it's new to me by way of my new friend Amy) called Sassy Sites, and there is a fun linky party going on right now. This is for anyone who has had their blog less than a year. You just link up and you can go and visit all of these other awesome blogs out there! How fun!! :) I'm joining to meet new crafters, and I know a lot of people who I already follow have new blogs and this sounds like fun! My blog is now a little over two months old, I think anyway, hehe!

These are some questions on the blog, so I thought I would answer them! :) It's fun learning new things about our bloggy friends...

Why did you decide to start blogging? The main reason I started blogging was b/c I have always wanted a Blog, lol, Funny Right? I just got back into crafting (It's All Erica's Fault) and wanted to share my creations. I also love to help people enhance their lives & go green. So I'm working on this venture!

When you aren't blogging, what are you doing? I'm a busy SAHM Mommy. I organize a Large Catholic Mom's Group in Northeast Ohio. Another huge passion of mine is singing, so I'm now chairing the Music Ministry for the Stark Chapter of Magnificat.

What is your blog about? My blog is about Crafting Green, Saving Money by Re-using what you already have, or by getting things donated, or finding amazing deals for crafting stuff at garage sales, or thrift stores. In this silly economy, many people DON'T have the money to craft like they would like, so I'm showing other alternatives!  --Also, I'm also going to start sharing with people how to make simple changes in their lives to go Green & ultimately enhance their lives.

When do you find the time to blog? I don't really have time to blog, but I'm sticking it in my down time (lol, that's a joke as a SAHM & wife, lol!). I have actually been staying up really late at night when I can think  clearly b/c it's quiet!

Why do you love blogging? I love blogging b/c I get to share what I'm doing with others. I'm brand new at this, so I'm sure I will be able to find more reasons of why I love to blog later on!! Plus I LOVE LOVE LOVE all my new Friends, They are more then just Crafty Acquaintances!

What is your favorite post so far that you've written? I really enjoy sharing with People my AWESOME find on Craigslist! Another GREAT way to Craft Green! People in my area are ALWAYS selling crafting stuff!! Click Here to Check Out My AMAZING FIND!!

Well, that's it for now My Friends! Have a Fantastically Crafty Day!! I'm working on lots right now since my almost 4 yr old is at camp until next Friday with her Grandma & I only have my 2.5 year old!! Hopefully will get to work on my NEW craft Room! UGH--Wallpaper Removal Time!

Until Next Time- $$Craft Green to Save Green$$

So, Today I Created a Simple Layout Using the Cartridge Calligraphy Collection.

Craft Green to Save Green my friends! Use what you already have!)

The Letters spelling out back to school were cut at 1.5 Inches
The Oval type frame is cut at 2.5 Inches

I found this Crayon Paper in my stash from years ago. Also the little chalk board with the apple was from something I from back in the day as well. I used a Milky White Marker to write Pre-School 2011 on it. I'm going to use this layout for my Daughter Lizzy since this will be her first year of preschool! (She can't wait to see her picture in it!)

The Digi Stamp is from Jens Digi Stamps.
The Little Boy Reading made me smile and think of all the cool things he is discovering!
Make sure to check out this Digi as well as many others in Jen's New Back to School Collection!

I hope you enjoyed my project today, I really look forward to sharing with you again soon!

Cancer Support & Survivor Blog Hop

Hello & Happy Weekend My Friends! Thanks for joining us for this Cancer Support & Survivor Blog Hop! If you've hopped along from Enjoli then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Erica from My Cricut Craftroom (I wouldn't want you to miss a THING!!)

The theme of this blog hop really hit home with me, especially in the past year, and even more the past few weeks. My grandfather was just diagnosed with Cancer of the Bile Ducts a week or so ago and then my Brother in Law has just hit 6 months CANCER FREE! (Thank you, God!!) He had a type of pancreatic cancer. Both of these very important men in my life were in my mind while creating!

I embossed my first card with The Winter Frolic CuttleBug Cricut Companion & also used the Preserves Cuttleug Cricut Companion. The Cricut Cartridge I used for my HOPE was Home Decor. I used a Freebie Digi Stamp I got from  The Clipart Fairy. I colored her Cancer Support Ribbon Purple in honor of my brother in law, John, since he had pancreatic cancer and now has been 6 months CANCER FREE. This card is very simple and could be very easily replicated! I'm all about simple right now!

This second card I made, also very simple, is for my grandfather who has been diagnosed with Cancer of the Bile Ducts. It doesn't seem that he will have too too much time left on Earth with us, but will be going to a much greater place! Anyway, I embossed this piece of scrap paper I found from years ago with The Winter Frolic Cuttlebug Cricut Companion. I used the Calligraphy Collection Cricut Cartridge for my HOPE. Once again, I got this cute FREEBIE digi Stamp from The Clipart Fairy. I colored his ribbon Yellow for Bile Duct Cancer. This Another Extremely Simple Card! But with Grandpa moving up to Ohio from South Carolina Today, I NEED SIMPLE!
**NOTE: I apologize for the smudging on the digi, but I have two toddlers who weren't following mommy's directions and were playing by mommy's crafting area and well.....I'm sure you can see something went wrong. But, I still wanted to share my card with you and I guess it's good to know that we are all real people**

Thanks for Stopping By My Friends. It's now time to Hippity Hop Over to a very Talented Lady and My Buddy:  AMANDA
Make Sure You Stop Back NEXT week for our Christmas in July Blog Hop!
